CBRE acquires Singapore-based sustainability advisory firm Paia Consulting
Carrie Johnson began Paia Consulting and is its founding head. She has more than 20 years of knowledge in sustainability method, reporting, and environmental issues. Corrado Forcellati, Paia Consulting’s managing director from 2021, assists firms in Singapore and Southeast Asia incorporate sustainability into their enterprise procedures.
Anshuman Magazine, CBRE advisory department president, India, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and Africa, points out the acquisition will have an impact throughout the APAC zone. “The better degree of recognition and attraction in sustainability is rising among organizations, and improving policies will provide an impetus for them to develop sustainability approaches and to establish progression on their application.”
Moray Armstrong, managing supervisor of CBRE Singapore, states the arrival of Paia’s features will certainly set CBRE at the lead of ESG advisory in Singapore and across Asia Pacific. “Our professionals are going to associate with clients on reporting, certification, conformity, benchmarking, establishing, and executing ESG plans. CBRE will efficiently impact the built setting.”
In June, United Overseas Bank and Enterprise Singapore started a sustainability advisory program for SMEs, in cooperation with Paia Consulting, CDP, Convene ESG, M1, PwC Singapore and TÜV SÜD.
David Fogarty, who has led CBRE’s ESG Consulting and Sustainability Services group in Asia from 2022, will lead the broadened crew at Paia from CBRE.
Following the acquisition, the company is going to be renamed Paia from CBRE, and the employee will be integrated with CBRE’s presenting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) consulting and sustainability services team. Johnson will be the major specialist within the merged entity, while Forcellati is going to be the new director of client sustainability approach and remedies.
On August 1, CBRE introduced that it has gotten Paia Consulting, a Singapore-based sustainability advisory firm. The procurement is side of the New York Stock Exchange-listed global real estate services firm’s development of its sustainability advisory business in Asia Pacific.
In August 2023, Keppel employed Bennett Wong, former principal specialist at Paia Consulting, to become its team sustainability leading manager. Wong departed in July to join professional services company RSM.
